Ol`Henry

Hi, my name is Henry, thus Ol`Henry in the channel. I sure do take a lot of kidding from time to time about being a chocolate bar filled with nuts.

I sometimes go by LoneStar53 as an alternate nick.

I'm a native-born New Yorker, spending six years in Phoenix, Arizona (ages 3-9) from '57 to '63 before the family moved back to New York. I left Olean, New York in October 1978 with three friends, looking for sunshine in Phoenix and ended up in Houston, Texas.  Go figure huh. Well, I love it here in Texas -- so this is my home now.

I worked as a service tech for new car dealers until late 1992 when my worn-out back forced me to re-evaluate my career. I worked for a friend for a couple of years before going into a business partnership with another friend. I now work for a towing and recovery company, (aka wrecker business) dispatching calls and I also maintain the company's computers.

I tried IRC a couple of times when I first got online and was very disgusted  with the results. That was in 1995, but since finding #40+TennesseeFun, I have found out how much fun it really is... when you find the right channel!
The folks here are the best and most helpful around -- I think I've found a home here.
